Our Story

A uniform that captures the essence of Nasu’s natural beauty

Hotel Epinard Nasu is a comprehensive resort hotel nestled amidst the lush natural surroundings of the Nasu Highlands.

In addition to our spacious open-air baths and hot springs, where you can unwind in complete comfort, we offer a wide range of activities—including an indoor swimming pool and tree-top treks—alongside a full array of facilities.

From family holidays with children to stays for couples, we offer relaxation, memorable experiences and a truly special time for guests of all ages.

Could you tell us what prompted the change of Uniform ?

Although our previous uniforms were very well received, the owners requested a refresh to help bolster the upward momentum of the ‘Hotel Epinard Nasu’ brand, so we decided to give them a complete makeover.

What were the key considerations when designing the uniforms ?

We asked for a stylish design that would complement the resort atmosphere of our hotel without detracting from it.

We requested that female staff adopt a trouser-style outfit. To distinguish between managerial and non-managerial staff, we asked that managers wear a jacket, whilst non-managerial staff wear a waistcoat.

Although our initial concept was rather vague when we first approached Boston Shokai, as our discussions progressed, they consistently presented us with proposals that perfectly suited the resort setting.

An embroidered motif of the ‘Nasu Gentian’, symbolising the natural beauty of Nasu. This motif is featured throughout all sections.

This khaki apron features mustard-coloured stitching as an accent. Made from a soft fabric, it allows for ease of movement even in a busy workplace.

An apron design that wraps around the hips. A large pocket has been added at the back side to accommodate a POS terminal.

We have designed a stylish shirt that, when the top button is undone, reveals a glimpse of the tape beneath the striking jacket.

The cuffs of the men’s jacket feature coloured buttons and coloured buttonholes, creating a cohesive look with the dark brown trousers.

Tape detailing at the collar edges and an asymmetrical design create a smart look.

What do your staff think of the new uniforms??

It is lighter than before, breathable and comfortable to move in, and has a fresh, clean look that makes a good impression on our customers.

Furthermore, I believe the revamp has provided a breath of fresh air and a new stimulus, helping us to shift our mindset and approach our work with renewed enthusiasm.

How has the response been to the new uniform ?

We have received very positive feedback from our customers, who have commented that it looks ‘neater than before’ and that ‘the design is lovely’.
